Wait for me...

I'm going to join in!

The first week should be easy since I'm still house-bound and unable to drive and it is way too cold to go outside. All kidding aside, Sarah over at Good-bye Valentino / Hello Needle and Thread is hosting a Ready-to-Wear fast.

I love this idea. I'm so sick of ill-fitting cuts, cheap fabrics and less than perfect sewing found in RTW and fast-fashion clothing. And I can sew.

Happy Sewing!

  1. I want to join this! My ownly downfall is pants, and since two of my only well fitted jeans are about to die, I really need to replace them (and I'm not up to it just yet, sewing wise). But at the same time, there's nothing but crap available here in Whitehorse, and I am currently unemployed... Hmmm.

Good luck with your No RTW year! :D I know you can do it!!

    1. Heather if you could whip together that beautiful winter coat, I'm sure you wouldn't have trouble with a pair of jeans! I say go for it.

Jeans are also on my want-to-make list too. I think I figured out my body quirks to give it a try (size 14 crotch length, size 16 outer leg and size 20 inner leg). I have more hips to my waist ratio. It worked for the last couple of dress pants I made so I'm keeping my fingers crossed the same formula works for my jean project.
