The Aplat Origami Design Face Mask

A request for these came out of the batch I donated to the school staff who wear glasses.  So these are another charity project to be delivered tomorrow.  I managed to sew one more (not photographed) that found a new home this afternoon.  The other was fitted with ear elastic instead of twill ties.  Five done today with another eight to hopefully finish this week.

I will admit, I'm bored with sewing face masks.  Are you bored seeing them?

  1. I need to know if that blue willow fabric is available somewhere! The masks do just keep coming round. Even after covid, they may be here to stay. I’ve had one cold in the past 9 months.

  2. Good morning Barbara, I actually picked the blue willow fabric up a couple of years ago when I was sewing microwave cozies. It's been in the stash for awhile.

  3. I was tired of sewing masks by the time I had made the 3rd one. I did plug away on more though. I don't know how those who have sewn hundreds of them can do it. I keep thinking I should make myself a mask for each holiday, then realize at my current supply run schedule (retired so that's about the only thing I go out for), I'd wear them once.
