Pattern Give-a-way...
There is still time to get in on the pattern give-away coming up this Friday. The original post and how to count yourself in is found here.
Good luck to everyone who entered.
Excuses, excuses!
I'm still waiting for Mama R to pose for a photo in her new outfit.
I can't wait to share the photo of her wearing the Style pattern jacket. She looks good in it but right now she's being a bit a diva. Sorry Mom, it just had to be said.
Maybe tomorrow she'll let me snap a photo or two.
Black goes with everything...
This is my latest fashion accessory, knee braces. Apparently it is all the rage. Luckily, it came in black since black goes with everything and will make my knees look slimming.
I'm done jesting.
Love these because they make such a huge difference. Have you ever had knee pain that keeps you from enjoying some quality sewing time? I'm able to enjoy more time with the activities that I love since wearing these, yippeee for that.
I actually walked 50 minutes to work with these. Sweetness! I love walking in the crisp autumn morning air. Not loving walking home in the afternoon +30 heat though, crazy contrast. But the best part is the endurance during sewing/creative time that I allows.
Now, I have no more excuses for procrastinating. I really to have to get to work on those two drawers of sewing projects and the muslin for the winter coat.
New Fall patterns...
I meant to blog about the new fall Burda Style patterns that came out, have you seen them? I would recommend having a peak, there are some really nice ones.
I only bought one from the new fall line-up, Burda Style 7283, semi-fitted skirt pattern. I wouldn't mind making both versions. The other pattern, Burda Style 7361, I've had my eye on for some time. It is a blouse and dress pattern.
Anyway, that's all in sewing news today. Have a good night and happy sewing!

Actually, never press velvet ! Sounds crazy when you think about the fact that there is actually such a thing as a velvet press board. ...
Ooo, I really like the Burda Style 7361. Both the top and the dress looks really nice. The skirt pattern is also nice, but not quite my style. Looking forward to seeing what you do with them, though. :)
ReplyDeleteMe too, I have a lot projects ready to go but I can't wait to get to work on these ones. I already have fabric in mind for the dress and skirt. No sewing this weekend though :-( but hopefully I can get back to my sewing to-do-list later this week. Until then I'm enjoying the progress that you've been making on the corduroy blazer. Nice work on the welt pockets!
