Big Sale!
Sewing another baby onesie has been on my to-do list this weekend.
I decided that I should take the advice that was given and work with the blue double knit fabric. (Thanks for the feedback!)
I just had to head to my local Fabricland and pick up some ribbon and I was considering some yellow thread for top-stitching.
I became distracted once inside the store with the 50% off sale signs that hung everywhere.
I couldn't resist, could I?
I picked up this baby blue fabric instead. It is terry cloth on one side and knit on the other. But don't think scratchy terry, this is so unbelievably soft. I couldn't resist.
And since there was a 50% off sale going on, I picked up an applique.
Who can resist teddy bears? Seriously.
So much for using fabric in my stash. I'll have to get to stash busting another day.
Talking about sales...
Did you catch the Vogue / Butterick / McCall's pattern sale earlier this week?
Butterick and McCall patterns were on sale for $1.99, so I couldn't resist picking up this Butterick Vintage re-issue pattern.
It is in the mail, and I'm in no rush. There won't be a whole lot of sewing going on after I get the baby blue onesie off the sewing table. I'll have to put the machines back into storage until after the holidays.
But while at Fabricland I did happen to stumble across a floral print that I think would be fantabulous.
Again, I had no will power and resisting was pointless.
Can you believe that this dress only calls for two metres of fabric?
That's all in sewing news for today. Happy sewing.

There was a sale this weekend?! Actually, I'm glad I didn't know (and am NOT going out today), because I just started to organize the fabric stash that's been stuffed in the corner of my living room since I moved in, and I really don't need an excuse to buy more fabric right now. Never mind the ~20 m of fabric I bought a week or so ago...
ReplyDeleteLOVE that pattern, and the fabric you found for it looks gorgeous! I love the painted effect of those flowers. :)
