Vogue 1263 Part II

Here are photos of the Donna Karan jacket, Vogue 1263. Did I mention how much I love this pattern?

I really do like the look of the flat fell seams and the darts at the lower hemline. I made it in a size medium and it is quite roomy. I could easily wear it with a belt.

Okay, here are pictures with me wearing the jacket. This first picture is of me waiting for the 10 seconds on my self-timer to go off on my camera.

And this second look is the wait, I'm not ready look!

  1. Your jacket is so pretty. I love the color and it looks stylish as well as warm and comfortable to wear.

  2. LOL! I love your pictures! I too understand the joys of timer pictures. My favourite recent one was being caught mid-spin trying to race and turn in front of the camera in time. :)

The jacket is lovely. The seams look really good, especially on that weight of fabric! The whole thing looks super cozy too, which is a huge bonus. Nice job!

  3. I have this pattern, but haven't managed to do anything with it. Your version in boiled wool is very inspiring! Just lovely.

  4. Great to see the finished version - I love it!

  5. What a beautiful jacket. You've done an amazing job!

  6. The shawl collar is so lovely, and the color of fabric is just fantastic!! Well done!!

  7. Thank you for all your lovely comments. I can't take too much credit, the instructions were perfect and it really is an easy project to put together despite that undersleeve flat fell seam.

McCall's 7630: Pullover Top

It's an easy sewing project for a loose-fitting pullover top. It's my second go with this pattern and I still want to make another ...
